Player of the season was awared to John Meadows, who at the age of 14 is a fantastic prospect for North East cricket. 341 runs @ 31, 14 wickets @ 10 and 6 catches bore testament to a well deserved award.
The season saw another stable side with a mixture of Youth & Experience for which the results achieved bore testament. It is really good to see the young lads from Greenside develop amongst us and I hope that this relationship continues for many years to come. I also expect to see some youth come through from Riding Mill, something which we have lacked and hoped would not continue for too much longer.
I expect 2010 to be another excellent year for RMCC. There will be some new younger lads from Greenside expected to make their RMCC debuts, an exciting prospect.
Great thanks must go to Bryan Stevens for organising the end of season dinner, Dave Wallis for his continued support, Catherine & Michael for their gardening exploits, Bryan for putting the stats together and obviously the various tea ladies who helped throughout the season
Finally a word of great thanks to David Gardiner for his time a treasurer, a role not to be underestimated. I hope to see David don the whites very soon!
